Alex Iwobi was on parade as Swedish outfit Ostersunds beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates stadium in their Europa League round of 32-second leg tie without former Kano Pillars forward Alhaji Gero on Thursday.

Two goals within one minute condemned the Gunners to a halftime defeat following Calum Chambers' own goal and Sema's powerful left-footer moments later.

After the break, Bellerín got to the byline before chipping a cross to the back post where Kolašinac had time to thump high past Keita to ensure the Gunners progressed with a 4-2 aggregate win.

Wenger made three changes to the Arsenal side that won 3-0 in Sweden last week. Mustafi dropped out - likely saved for the League Cup final this weekend - with Holding coming in. Kolasinac replaced Monreal on the left, while Wilshere, who was captain for the evening was in for Ozil in the playmaking role.

As expected, Mkhitaryan started on the right of an attacking midfield three, with Iwobi on the left.

Maitland-Niles was deeper at the base of midfield, alongside Elneny.

Ostersund had some doubts earlier in the day as to goalkeeper Aly Keita and winger Ken Sema, but they are both made the starting XI.

Neither player was at the top of their game last week, but have been instrumental in the team’s UEFA Europa League so far and the latter was a menace to the Gunners' defence.

New starters on Thursday for the visitors were Hosam Aiesh on the right of midfield and Englishman Jamie Hopcutt up front. The change made sense judging by last week’s performance when Hopcutt came off the bench and had more of an impact than Nigeria's Salisu Abdullahi Gero.
