Jose Mourinho’s frustration at Manchester United continues to grow as the club are set to miss out on the signing of Nemanja Matic to Juventus, according to Sky Sports.

The Portuguese had informed the club’s hierarchy that he needed at least four new faces to his squad ahead of the 2017/18 season just like last season where he brought in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba.

But United have struggled to bring in new signings to the club despite the early arrivals of Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Romelu Lukaku from premier league side Everton.

Nemanja Matic looked poised to move to Old Trafford but after Mourinho hijacked Chelsea’s deal for Lukaku, the Blues then refused to sell and instead opened discussions with Serie A giants Juventus.

Conte dropped Matic for the Blues preseason and he told him that he is no longer needed at the club after the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco.

According to Sky Sports reporter, Kaveh Solhekol the Old Lady are set to beat United to the signature of Matic and talks are on with the player’s representatives to seal a deal to Turin.

"Sky in Italy: Nemanja Matic is main midfield target for Juventus," tweeted Solhekol.

"New talks have been held about signing him from Chelsea."

Matic made 35 for Chelsea in the Premier League appearances as the west London outfit won the title for the second time in three seasons.
