Eriksen told the club official website in his first interview as an Inter Milan player: "I couldn’t wait to join, it’s wonderful to be here and I’m happy to be a new Inter player. I’m very excited and can’t wait to introduce myself to the fans. I’ve already experienced their warmth, it’s been a fantastic welcome. I feel great.”

Eriksen arrives at Inter following seven years in England, during which he was able to display his technical ability and talent, resulting in some impressive numbers: "I’m not really someone who places great importance on statistics but I know that there are people who like talking about this.

"The numbers say that I did really well in England. It’s now time to start a new challenge, I’m really happy to have the opportunity to play in Serie A for a big team. Inter is a fantastic Club.”

He added by talking be working with his new teammates and Coach Antonio Conte: "I was able to get to know him when I was at Tottenham, we came up against his Chelsea side and it was very difficult. I’m excited to learn more about him and how his sides play.”

Eriksen joined Tottenham from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax ahead of the 2013/2014 season for a reported fee between £11 million and has since then featured 303 times across all competitions scoring 69 goals in the process.

The Nerazzurri are three points behind reigning champions Juventus after 21 fixtures but missed the chance to close the gap after drawing 1-1 with Cagliari on Sunday.
