JUST IN: PSG star admits Real Madrid interest

Ligue 1 By: Iseghohi Odianosen | 04/03/2019

Paris Saint-Germain star has admitted the interest to play for Real Madrid but he was quick to insist he is happy at the French capital.

Neymar has been linked with a return to the Spanish league after his switch to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 in a world record transfer fee of €222.

The Brazilian attacker spoke on the possibility of joining Real Madrid

"If I want to play for Madrid? They are one of the biggest clubs in the world," he told Globo TV.

"Any player linked with Real Madrid would feel attracted to player there.

"For the love of God, I am not speaking about playing for Madrid, calm down," Neymar insisted.

"I feel happy in Paris, I am very well here... but, in the future, nobody knows.

"It is obvious that Real Madrid is a great team, one of the best in the world, I have great respect for them but, today, I see myself in Paris," he said.

Recent rumours have linked Neymar with a return to Barcelona, though it is a chapter of his career that he feels he can already tick off.

"My objective was to play for Barcelona, it was my dream and I accomplished it, everyone knows," said the PSG star.

"That was always my dream, it was something that I said since I was a child and I achieved it.

"I feel accomplished," he said.

Despite his affirmations of being happy at PSG, Neymar admits that anything is possible.

"A footballer's life is very fast. Things happen at unexpected moments, nobody knows what will happen tomorrow.

"Today I feel very happy in Paris, I only have eyes for PSG.

"I do not feel attracted by any (club), I do not want to leave Paris but, between now and the next three months, nobody knows what will happen," he concluded.

Neymar is out of action at the moment after the attacker suffered an ankle injury during a Ligue 1 game in France.
