The Juventus team has landed in Qatar for Friday's Super Cup final against Milan. They would also use the time to prepare for the second half of the 2016/17 Serie A season, in which they lead second-placed AS Roma by seven points.
If they achieve another Serie A title come May, it would a sixth consecutive, an achievement that has no forebear.
“President Agnelli has already said that winning a sixth Serie A title on the spin would be a legendary achievement,” Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta.
“It would be truly unique. We’d be putting into practice something that a few years ago was a dream and that now has all the ingredients to become reality.”
And they are not resting on their oars as transfer rumors suggest that Axel Wiesel and Sevilla midfield anchor, Steven N’Zonzi, could be added in January.
Marotta continued: “Success is never guaranteed, but the result of excellent work carried out over several years.
“For example, what Massimiliano Allegri is doing right now is precisely what’s required of a modern day coach, who also needs to be very good at managing the group and relationships with the players via proper communication and using them all in the best possible way at the best possible time.”
