The Cristiano Ronaldo effect is certainly strong as Juventus have sold 520,000 jerseys of their new man on the first day of its official release, according to the Italian press (via Italian Football TV).

Ronaldo's shirt record is just 330k short of Juve's entire jersey sales of Juventus in the 2016 calendar year.

Each authentic shirt sells for €104 (CAD $159), while a replica is about €45 (CAD $69). At minimum, Juve earned $35.88 million, assuming all 520,000 sales were replica jerseys only. It could be as high as $82.68 million, when only taking authentic shirts into account.

Ronaldo was officially unveiled by the club on Monday, as he completes a €105 million transfer from Real Madrid.
