The 33-year-old five time Ballon d'Or winner wasn’t called up for the UEFA Nations League games in September, as he focused on adapting to life in with Serie A Champions, but the striker had been in contention to return to the international fold later this month after starting to hit form in Italy.

According to the Portuguese newspaper, A Bola reports that Ronaldo has asked to be excused from the October or November international breaks, so he won’t play for his country until 2019 as former Manchester United and Real Madrid man is facing allegations of rape.
The Seleccao all-time goal scorer will miss this month’s matches, he will also be unavailable for games against Italy and a rematch against Poland in the middle of November.
Ronaldo has not played for the European champions since their unspectacular appearance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
