Juventus defender desperate for Chelsea move

Juventus defender Alex Sandro is desperate for a move to Chelsea despite a huge offer from Juventus.

The Premier League winner has seen their initial bid rejected but hope to bounce back with an improved deal to secure the services of the Brazilian defender.

Sandro, 26, signed from FC Porto in 2015  for €26 million on a five-year contract, he has been in fine form for the Italian giants, he has won two Serie A and two Coppa Italia, he was on the verge of winning the Champions League but Juventus lost to Real Madrid in the final.

A proposal is being considered in the wake of Chelsea’s failed £52m bid.

Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is a big fan of the left -wing back, Conte will try to persuade the Italian giant, Juventus to sell Sandro by offering an improved offer for the Serie A Champions.

Juventus is desperate to keep hold of Sandro and both clubs are ready to start talks over fresh terms

Chelsea has offered Sandro the chance to double his wages and rake in £150,000-a-week if he makes a move over to the Stamford Bridge.

That's according to The Evening Standard who say Juventus are only able to offer him £100,000-a-week.

Chelsea's offer has tempted the Brazilian and he is said to be keen to come to England.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has admitted a huge offer came in for Sandro and that they might not be able to keep him.

Last week he said: "I don't know what he (Sandro) thinks about the interest.

"Players are masters of their own destinies.

"If Alex Sandro receives a salary offer which isn’t logical for us, then…”

Juventus are preparing for the possibility he will leave and have earmarked Monaco's Benjamin Mendy as a potential replacement.
