Keita back to life after collapsing in dressing room

£30million-rated Liverpool and Arsenal target Naby Keita collapsed after RB Leipzig’s defeat to Wolfsburg as boss Ralph Hatenhuttl confirms doctors cannot explain ‘circulatory collapse’.

Club boss Ralph Hatenhuttl says Keita lost consciousness after the final whistle and was rushed to hospital.

“He spent the night in hospital and he's feeling better. All the test results are okay.

“It seemed to be the fault of his circulation, he burnt himself out yesterday. For sure, we will continue to look for causes in the next few days.

“It was probably a combination of several factors. I am glad that there is no deeper disorder. His test results were all okay, that is why we have to look at what was the cause.”

The energetic Guinea star according to SunSports is top of Jurgen Klopp’s summer wishlist with the Reds boss believed to be lining up a £30million bid.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal have also shown interest in the star, who joined Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg last June. But his pursuers will now have concerns over Keita’s well-being after he passed out in his side’s dressing room on Saturday.

Keita, 22, played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat as Leipzig slipped 10 points behind league leaders Bayern.

It is believed he suffered a ‘circulatory collapse’ brought on by exertion – but tests proved inconclusive as to an exact cause.
