La Liga clubs of Villarreal and Getafe ready to fight for Super Eagles centre-back Kenneth Omeruo after Chelsea rejected an initial offer by Leganes.

The 25-year-old Nigeria international is currently preparing for the African Cup of Nations in Egypt after enjoying a stellar season at Estadio Municipal de Butarque as the Europa League Champions ready to part ways with the Kaduna-born star after he entered the final year of his contract with the West London outfit.

According to Spanish sports daily Marca has reported that Chelsea have turned down a bid of four million euros from CD Leganes for Omeruo because it did not meet their valuation.

Los Pepineros are expected to step up their offer but Villarreal and Getafe ready to hijack the deal for the Super Eagles defender, while German clubs have also shown strong interest.

Omeruo arrived Stamford Bridge from Standard Liege in 2012 before a loan spell at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa, and Alanyaspor.
