Arsenal: Lacazette thanks Iwobi for debut goal assist

Arsenal new boy Alexnadre Lacazette has expressed his gratitude to Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi for providing what he described a 'great assist' which led to the Frenchman's debut goal in Arsenal colours.

Lacazette scored his first goal for us just 15 minutes into his Arsenal career after club captain Per Mertesacker had opened scoring in the first half with an acrobatic strike as Arsene Wenger's men beat Sydney FC 2-0 in front of a sell-out crowd at ANZ Stadium on Thursday.

The former Lyon man in a tweet on his official Twitter account wrote: "Happy to score my 1st goal with my new Team !! Thanks @alexiwobi.. great assist."

It didn’t take Alexandre Lacazette long to get off the mark for Arsenal after 15 minutes to be exact as he met Alex Iwobi’s cross to double the Gunners' lead against Sydney.
