Adam Lallana will not get a Liverpool first-team ban following his marching order during the club's Under-23s game on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

Lallana reacted angrily after an aerial clash with 19-year-old Spurs midfielder George Marsh. The England international was shown a straight red card for grabbing Marsh around the neck, before being dragged away by team-mate Danny Ings.

The report say any punishment Lallana received will be confined to the competition in which he was dismissed, meaning he will face no suspension for Liverpool's senior team.

His ban for violent conduct on Monday which could be up to three games could hamper Lallana's recovery, as he battles for full fitness.
