There are renewed reports that Leicester City and Fenerbahce are both eyeing a possible summer move for Nigeria international, Oghenekaro Etebo.
As reported by AFK Sports, current English champions and the Turkish giants are monitoring the CD Feirense player, who is doing well in Portugal at the moment.
According to numerous reports in Turkey, the 21-year-old is understood to be a potential target for the Turks ahead of the end of season transfer market window, in which clubs attempt to strengthen their squads for the new campaign.
While Leicester are
still fighting a relegation battle in the Premier League, the background work is being done to bring in some additional talent at the end of the 2016-17 season, with management confident that the team can remain in the lucrative top-flight.
One of the players identified for a transfer is Etebo, but Fenerbahce may swoop in and hijack a potential deal with a more favourable
offer. The Turks are hoping to meet with Etebo
during the international break when the midfielder will join the Super Eagles for matches this month.
English media reports in January suggested that Arsenal were also watching the Nigerian player closely, but they decided against an approach at the time.
Now it appears that rivals Leicester and Fenerbahce are in pole position to attract the talents youngster who is capable of adding value to a variety of midfield formations.
