Karim Benzema's goal earns Real Madrid a draw against Levante after the home team went ahead in the 45th minute of the first half, but the French attacker found the equaliser in the second half to end the tie 1-1 at the Estadio Burtarque in the La Liga on Monday evening.

Real Madrid played their usual possession football against Leganes and lacked the cutting edge up front as the dominated the opening 25th minutes of the game.

Real Madrid was unable to convert the few chances they created but in general terms, they show no eagerness to score goals.

Marco Asensio played a shot over the bar in the 36th minute which was the only main threat on goal from Real Madrid in the last 10 minutes.

Leganes broke the deadlock with the last kick of the first half by Silva Jonathan despite the fact that Leganes never showed any threat on goal.

Karim Benzema equalised for Real Madrid in the 51st minute after he connected perfectly with a pass from Luka Modric to beat the goalkeeper in two attempts.

Real Madrid maintained the same level of ball possession as the first half but still lacked the ability to penetrate to score goals.

Zinedine Zidane made his first substitute as he changed Isco for Lucas Vasquez in the 76th minute in a bid to find a winning goal.

Gareth Bale was thrown in to replace Asensio with nine minutes to end the game. The game ended 1-1.
