Poland star Robert Lewandowski commits future to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski who just penned a new deal with the Bavarians has mocked the Ballon d'Or awards after finishing in 16th place in the voting that saw Cristano Ronaldo crowned winner for the fourth time.

Lewandowski who scored 42 goals for the Bundesliga champions last season in all competitions, and has netted 19 times in the current campaign was not even the highest ranked Bayern player or Bundesliga star, according to the Ballon d'Or voting.

According to Sky Sports, Lewandowski mocked the award by posting "cabaret" then '@francefootball' followed by pictures of smiley faces crying with laughter on Twitter.

His agent, Maik Barthel, later posted on Twitter "ballondor @fifa @francefootball Experts vote on this or patriots?"

Bayern team-mate Arturo Vidal, joint 14th, is the highest ranked Bayern player while Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who ranked 11th, was the top voted Bundesliga star.
