Ligue 1 giants are reportedly ready to make a move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez in January transfer window.
The CAF African Footballer of the Year 2016 Mahrez nearly signs for Serie A side Roma in the summer after handing in a transfer request for the dethroned Premier League Champions.
But the 26-year-old Algeria international transfer move to Giallorossi did not come through due to both clubs could not come to a concrete agreement after Roma failed to meet the £32million asking price for the Foxes winger.
According to Mundo Deportivo claim that Marseille are
preparing to make a deal for Mahrez — and believe they could snap him for a cut-price £26.5m in the winter transfer window.
Newly-appointed Leicester manager Claude Puel insists that he wants to hold on Mahrez by giving him more freedom to play, as the former PFA Players' Player of the Year, went on to star as Leicester shocked the world of sport by clinching the 2015-16 Premier League title.
