Radamel Falcao could return for Monaco this weekend after missing their midweek Champions League victory over Manchester City.

It is the 30th week of Ligue 1 this weekend, and leaders Monaco will be in high spirits following their progress to the quarterfinals of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City. But they won’t be the only ones in high spirits, as former champions Lyon will also be, following their progress to the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

There are also a bunch of other games in Ligue 1 this weekend, as champions PSG are also in action, and the race for European places will continue, as well as the race to maintain top flight status.

Fcnaija.com previews this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixtures.

Lille v Marseille

Struggling Lille welcome Marseille this weekend, and will be hoping to build on last weekend’s win to improve their chances of staying afloat at the end of the season.

Marseille are fifth, seven points adrift of fourth placed Lyon and will also eye a win to boost their chances of playing in the Champions League next season.

Nantes v Nice

Third placed Nice are in good form and are only five points off leaders Monaco. A win at 10th placed Nantes and will usurp PSG in second place if the champions fail to get a win in their own game.

PSG v Lyon

What a clash this weekend. Champions PSG are home to Lyon in Ligue 1 this weekend in a game that could determine their chances of winning the title again this term. If they win, they will be level on points with leaders Monaco, depending on the outcome of their own game.

But a loss for the champions, could open them to a struggle to finish in Champions League places this season, with Nice breathing heavily down their necks.

Caen v Monaco

What a week they have had, sending Manchester City packing from the Champions League in midweek. They are up against 15th placed Caen and a win for them will take them closer to lifting the title this term.

But they must be wary of their opponents, as a loss will mean they will be level on points with PSG if the champions win.

Other Fixtures

Angers v Guingamp

Bordeaux v Montpellier

Nancy v Lorient

Toulouse v Rennes

Dijon v St Etienne
