AS Monaco get a defense of their Ligue 1 title underway against Toulouse FC with a 3-2 win at the Stade Louis II on Friday night while dethroned Champions Paris Saint-Germain who now have Neymar in their ranks defeated newly promoted side Amines 2-0 at the Parc des Princes.

Monaco vs Toulouse 3-2

Real Madrid Kylian Mbappe limped off injured in Monaco's 3-2 victory over Toulouse on the opening night of Ligue 1 holder coming from behind with Kamil Glik's header gave the title holders the maximum three points.

It's been a turbulent summer for the champions, who have experienced a mass exodus and been forced to fend off interest from Arsenal in Thomas Lemar and teen sensation Mbappe attracting plenty of interest in what would amount to a mega move.

Zinedine Machach gave the visitors the lead but Jemerson equalized for the hosts.Les Pitchouns regained the lead through Andy Delort but Radamel Falcao equalized once again.

A delightful ball from Joao Moutinho was headed in by Polish defender Glik to ensure Paris Saint-Germain did not enjoy their Neymar day entirely.

PSG vs Amines 2-0

Neymar stole the show without even playing as Paris Saint-Germain began their Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Amiens.

The world-record signing was not registered in time to take part in the game but received a hero's welcome on a tour of the Parc des Princes pitch before kickoff.

Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore got the goals as Paris Saint-Germain battled past Amiens in Parc des Princes.

The opening goal came in the 41st minute from Edinson Cavani, who turned in a cross from Dani Alves PSG's other high-profile Brazilian signing who was eligible to play.

It was not until 10 minutes from time that the hosts doubled their lead, Marco Verratti unselfishly finding Javier Pastore who had the simple task of slotting home.

Lyon vs Strasbourg 5-0

Former League Champion  Lyon to the lead on 23 minutes with Mariano Diaz scores from outside the box, with the goal second, come from a penalty kick after Pablo Martinez fouled Bertrand Traore in the box on 59 minutes Nabil Fekir Lyon scores from the penalty spot.

Mariano Diaz gets his second on 61 minute and 90+1' Nabil Fekir scores again with his second too.

Marseille vs Dijon 3-0

Marseille had failed to beat Dijon when the sides last met here in April and the first-half signs here pointed at more frustration for Rudi Garcia's men. Morgan Sanson and Florian Thauvin, the latter from a free-kick, were both denied by Baptiste Reynet as the first period ended goalless.

But substitute Njie set Marseille on their way six minutes into the second half, heading home from a Valere Germain cross following excellent play from summer signing Luiz Gustavo 51minutes Dijon was stunned as OM doubled their advantage just three minutes later, the away defense backing off to allow Thauvin to advance and fire past Reynet to make it 2-0.

Njie was helped by a deflection as his effort from outside the box made it 3-0 with 18 minutes remaining and the margin of victory could have been even greater in the end - ex-Monaco man Germain was denied a first Ligue 1 Conforama goal for his new club by the bar at the death.
