Lille delighted with Victor Osimhen's first Super Eagles goal in the 2-2 scored draw against Ukraine in an international friendly in Dnipro on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old Nigeria international opened his account for the senior national team from the spot in the 33rd minute after Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu was tripped inside the box by Eduard Sobol.

Lille has taken to social media to react to the former Golden Eagles target marksman goal:  🎉 A first senior international goal for Victor Osimhen! A perfect penalty kick in @NGSuperEagles 2-2 draw 🆚 Ukraine: nicely done 👌,”reads a tweet on the club’s Twitter handle.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is on the lookout for a replacement for Odion Ighalo, who announced his international retirement after the Africa Cup of Nations Osimhen made way for another French-based striker Josh Maja three minutes into stoppage time of the second half.

Ligue 1 returns as Lille welcome Angers to Stade Pierre Mauroy in the week league encounter before travelling to Amsterdam to take on Ajax in the Champions League matchday one group stage in Johan Cruijff Arena next Tuesday night.
