Liverpool was held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Leicester City at the Anfield on Wednesday evening as Jurgen Klopp's men failed to capitalise on Manchester City defeat to grab the maximum points and extend their lead on the Premier League table with a wider margin.

Liverpool wasted no time to break the deadlock against Leicester City at the Anfield, Sadio Mane has a lot of space and time to score the opening goal and he made no mistake in doing so as he released a low effort which ends up in the bottom right corner of Leicester City's post.

Leicester City forward James Maddison had an opportunity to equalise for the visitor but he blasted the huge chance by heading the ball over the crossbar from a decent cross after 25 minutes of play.

Harry Maguire was penalised with a yellow card for a heavy tackle on an opponent, just in the last minute of the first half Liverpool Andrew Robertson latched a clumsy challenge on Leicester player and conceded a freekick as Maguire got the equalising goal for the Foxes in the last minute of the first half from a shot inside the Liverpool box.

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

The second half witness no real action as both teams were cautious of not conceding any goal, the game ended 1-1 as Liverpool failed to extend the lead over Manchester City than just a point.
