Allison, BrazilLiverpool have suffered a fresh transfer blow after being told €70m transfer target Alisson is "very happy with Serie A outfit AS Roma” and is planning on staying in Italy capital Rome for another season.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper for months and that intensified after Loris Karius’ display in the 3-1 Champions League final defeat.

Alisson has previously spoken of his hope to have his club future resolved prior to kick-off in Russia and it appears increasingly likely that he will stay at Stadio Olimpico.

"I'm focusing on my work with Brazil. People are taking care of other issues regarding Roma. Whatever happens will be for the best,"

"I try not to read the news so much. It helps not to read speculation. Nothing official has come my way. I have a contract with Roma.

"I'm very happy in Italian football, I'm very happy in Rome."  former Internacional shot-stopper told reporters via Goal.

Alisson will mount the post for Brazil in this month tournament in Russia as the Seleçao looking clinch their six World Cup title.
