Liverpool set a new Champions League record during a 7-0 whitewashing Spartak Moscow at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Reds have scored more goals in group stage than any other Premier League teams in this European prestigious competition.

Jurgen Klopp's men set the record in the second half of last Group E encounter against the Russian outfit when stand-in captain Philippe Coutinho the fifth goal which makes him his hat-trick for the Brazilian in his Liverpool career.

The goal took the Merseyside outfit tally in the group stage of the elite competition to 21, which is yet to be beaten by any of their local rivals.
