Liverpool is talks to edge Manchester United in Premier League record kit record as The Reds directors are set to negotiate a deal that would see the Anfield outfit beat the Red Devil's £75million-a-year agreement with Adidas.

Liverpool current deal with New Balance worth £45million-a-year and the deal would expire at the end of the season, though Liverpool would be willing to renew their deal with the American kit but only if the American kit company increase their sponsorship offer.

A source close to the talks revealed: "The club is established in Europe again and challenging at home. They were the most-watched Premier League team last season with 880 million viewers across all competitions.

"Liverpool will be competing with Manchester United's £75m-a-year deal. They are open to extending with New Balance, but if they don't come up with the cash, the club would be open to finding another partner."
