The world's most expensive defender Virgil van Dijk started, made his debut and scored the winning goal for Liverpool in their 2-1 FA Cup clash against Everton on Friday night.
A first-half goal by James Milner at the 34th minute placed Liverpool ahead of their visitors followed by a second-half equalizer by Everton's Sigurdsson at the 67th minute. Record-signing, Van Dijk delivered the winning goal for Liverpool at the 84th minute of the showdown.
The first 30 minutes of the showdown went down goalless not until at the 34th minute when Liverpool were
gifted with a penalty kick that as orchestrated by Adam Lallana.
