The New Real Madrid signing Luka Jovic has told the fans what they should expect from him following his €60 million signing move from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The Serbian attacker was presented to the Bernabeu fans and during his press conference he opened up on his role and what he would like to bring to the team after a tremendous campaign with the German club last season where he scored 17 goals in the Bundesliga and 10 goals in the Europa League.

Jovic wants to partner Karim Benzema in the attack.

"He's one of the best [forwards] in the world and I hope to learn a lot from him," Jovic said about Benzema.

"I think we're compatible, but Zidane will decide."

It has been the Serbian's dream to sign for Los Blancos and he is delighted that it has finally become a reality.

"I'm the happiest guy in the world and I'm very happy to be at the biggest club in the world," noted Jovic.

"It's a pleasure to sign for this club and I'll give my all."

Rather than make predictions about his tally of goals next season, Jovic simply wants to show the Madrid fans what he can do.

"I won't say an exact number of goals," he responded when asked about his targets for 2019/20.

"I'll try to do my best and show what I can do.

"I have come to a club where I can learn a lot and I'll try to improve."

He is yet to speak with his new coach, Zinedine Zidane, but he is willing to play wherever he is needed.

"I have not spoken to him," said Jovic.

"I will play anywhere: alone [in the attack], with another striker... I'm here to fight."

Florentino Perez informed the press during Jovic's presentation that he used to sleep in a Madrid shirt when he was a child, something he confessed to.

"It is true that I slept in it as a child," he said.

"A friend of my father gave it to me and since I was a boy, I was fond of Madrid because they are the biggest club in the world."

In terms of his idol growing up, the Serbia international singled out a former Madrid player.

"It was Ronaldo [Nazario], and now I won't highlight anyone because they will all be my teammates," he added.

Barcelona had been linked with the attacker, but Jovic was coy when asked about the Blaugrana's interest in him.

"I was not aware of any other offer than Madrid," he stated.

"I spoke to my agent [Fali Ramadani], he told me about Madrid's offer and I accepted it quickly."
