Riyad Mahrez has made history after scoring in Manchester City 4-1 demolishing of Burnley in the Premier League encounter Turf Mor on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old winger netted Cityzen’s fourth goal with three minutes remaining as he becomes the first Algerian to score 50 goals in the Premier League, moving 9th onto the all-time top African goalscorers list.

Gabriel Jesus had put Manchester City ahead in the 24th minutes before the Brazil international completed his brace in the second half before Rodri made it 3-0 on 68 minutes from a rebound that arrived at the feet of the Spanish midfielder.

Robbie Brady did score a goal for Burnley as Pep Guardiola side returns to winning ways as they now in the second position on the table with 32 points from 15 matches.

Mahrez reaches his 50 Premier League goals from 110 appearances but the forward hopes to continue the scoring when Cityzen welcome Manchester United in a Premier League derby this weekend at Etihad Stadium.
