Malaga 1-2 Real: Isco and Casemiro down ideye's team

Real Madrid down Malaga with Isco and Casemiro scoring in either half of the game, Diego Rolan scored for the host in the last minute. Los Blancos grabbed the three point to leap-frog Valencia to the third spot in the La Liga standing and with the result Malaga will be playing in the Segunda division next season.

Real Madrid controlled the game comfortably with a lot of ball possession enjoyed by the visitors, Mateo Kovacic header was saved as Malaga continued to sit back in the defensive area.

Karim Benzema was on target for Real Madrid but the defence did well to keep him in check in the 16th minute of the encounter.

Lucas Vazquez almost got the first goal for Real Madrid after a brilliant link-up play from Isco but the Spaniard was unable to get the opener.

Real Madrid has been timid in the attack as they failed to make any serious threat in the Malaga defence.

Isco curled in a free kick for Real Madrid in the 29th minute from the edge of the box in front of his former fans.

Real Madrid continued to pressure high in the third half of the pitch as they look to get the second goal.

Real Madrid was caught after Casemiro was unable to have a control of the ball properly as the host threatened the defence of Real Madrid on three consecutive attempts but Keylor Navas was brilliant to save the shot for Real Madrid.

The Bernabeu giants were able to end the first half as the leader as they took a slim lead into the second half.

Real Madrid started the second half with a gradual build-up from the back as Malaga pushed out in a bid to get the equaliser, Real Madrid almost got the second goal after Vazquez squares in a ball for Benzema but the host defence did well to prevent Benzema from getting the second goal.

Real Madrid was fortunate to have conceded a goal in the 56th minute from a Malaga free-kick. Malaga mounted pressure on the visitors as Real Madrid defence looked shaky.

Real Madrid got the second goal from a fantastic play after a brilliant display in the 63rd minute as a swift touch from Benzema to Isco who found the Casemiro in the area to tap in the third goal.

Real Madrid made their first substitute Asensio for Ceballos in the 66th minute and Isco made way for Borja Mayoral in the 72nd minute.

Malaga pulled one back through Diego Rolan in the last minute of the game.
