Man City 3-0 West Brom: Cityzens continue dominance

Manchester City continued their dominance in the Premier League after a 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad on Wednesday night, goals from Fernadinho, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero ensured Pep Guardiola's side extend their lead.

Manchester City started the game with an offensive mode as David Silva got a shooting opportunity by West Bromwich defender was on point to block his effort.

City continued to assert control in the opening 15 minutes as Kevin De Bruyne got an attempt but he was unable to hit the target.

Pep Guardiola’s men broke the deadlock in the 20th minute from Fernandinho after a fine assist from Kelvin de Bruyne.

De Bruyne smashed a shot on target but the Belgian failed to hit the target and in the 32nd minute David Silva was booked with a yellow card.

Manchester City dominated the game, the home team made their substitute in the 40th minute as Ilkay Gundogan replaced David Silva.

The first half of the game ended in 1-0 in favour of the Etihad outfit.

The Premier League Champions started the second half with an attack from Raheem Sterling but his finish went to the bar but City continued to dominate as West Brom.

Kyle Walker was injured but the defender is was able to make a return to the pitch as De Bruyne attempt went off the target.

City continued to push for the second goal against the Hawthorn outfit, And de Bryne gave the host a second goal in the 68th minute from a superb assist from Sterling.

The home team replaced de Bruyne with Brahim Diaz with 12 minutes remaining in the encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City set up a swift counter attacker from Sterling and he squared the ball into the box but a WestBrom defender was in the box to add pressure to City attackers and the ball went out wide.

Sergio Aguero introduced himself to Westbrom defence after a fine lob over the goalkeeper in the 88th minute to hand City the 3rd goal of the night.

With the victory, Manchester City extended their lead over Manchester United on top of the Premier League table, Jose Mourinho's men were defeated 2-0 at the Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.
