Man City 3-1 Arsenal: Aguero nets hattrick in City win

Sergio Aguero scored a hattrick against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League clash on Sunday as Manchester defeated Arsenal 3-1.

Manchester City started the game with an offensive display and inside the opening minute, Sergio Aguero scored the opener in the first minute after Iwobi's failed to deal with a pass from Mateo Guendozi.

Arsenal responded in the 10th minute after Laurent Koscielny headed in the equaliser from a well-timed corner kick. Manchester City dominated the game in Arsenal half as they aim to unlock the Gunners defence. Arsenal began to come into the game as Manchester City slowed down their pace to catch on the counter.

The away team absorbed the pressure perfectly as they curtailed Manchester City, Pierre Emerick Aubamenyang fired a shot but his effort went wide.

Aguero got the second goal with just one minute to end the first half as the first 45 minutes of the game ended 2-1 in favour of the home team.

Manchester City started the second half in the same manner as they aimed to score a goal in the start of the second half. Kelvin de Bruyne fired in a shot after brilliant work from Bernardo Silva but a brilliant save from Bernard Leno ensured they kept the scoreline respectable.

De Bruyne was close to score the third but the Belgian attacker's effort was saved in the area by Leno, Aguero scored the third game for Cityzens in the 61st minute after a brilliant move from Raheem Sterling, though the ball appeared to be handball it counted as a goal as he grabbed a hattrick.

Unai Emery made a double sub as he withdrew Alex Iwobi and Sead Kolasinac for Aaron Ramsey and Dennis Suarez respectively in the 67th minute.

Leno once again rose to the occasion as he denied De Bruyne another chance to increase the lead, Shkodran Mustafi was substituted for Konstantinos Mavropanos in the 79th minute while Gabriel Jesus was brought in for Aguero with 10 minutes left to play.

Manchester City won the game 3-1 with Aguero scoring a hattrick against Unai Emery's men.
