Man City 3-1 Brighton: Cityzens break EPL record with a win

Manchester City broke Chelsea Premier League record with a 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion, having surpassed the Blues 103 goals in a single season at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening

Manchester City broke the deadlock through Danilo in the 16th minute after a defence-splitting pass from Leroy Sane at the Etihad Stadium, but the away team restored parity four-minute after when Davy Propper pass connected Jose Leonardo Ulloa.

Manchester City scored the second goal through Bernardo Silva from another assist from the German in the 34th minute as Pep Guardiola's men ensured they took the lead after the first 45 minutes of the clash.

Manchester City continued to attack Brighton for the third goal at the Etihad but a solid defensive display from the visitors but in the 72nd minute, Fernandinho made it three for the home team from another assist from Sane who has been in sparkling form for the Premier League Champions.

Guardiola made his first substitute in the 76th minute as he Benjamin Mendy came in for Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus was withdrew for Brahim Diaz  in the 83rd minute and the final substitute was made when Yaya Toure who is playing his last home game was substituted in the 86th minute as Lukas Nmecha was brought in,with the win Manchester City has broken Chelsea's record of 103 goals held by the Blues.
