Man City drop points as Liverpool maintain lead in the EPL

Manchester City suffered another defeat as they were defeated 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on boxing day by Leicester City and at Anfield Liverpool humiliated Newcastle 4-0 to maintain the top of the table as Tottenham Hotspurs move to second place on the log.

Pep Guardiola's men started the clash with a perfect strike from Bernardo Silva in the 14th minute before Leicester Marc Albrighton equalised in the 18th minute through a header.

despite the Champions creating many chances to score a goal it was the Foxes that got the winning goal with  Ricardo firing home a spectacular shot nine minutes from time.

 Fabian Delph was then sent off with a minute left to add to Manchester City frustrations.

Liverpool had an easy ride at Anfield as they hold their lead tightly at the top of the Premier League table, Jurgen Klopp's men are now six points clear with Tottenham Hotspur now in the second place after a perfect 5-0 win over AFC Bournemouth.
