Manchester City is prepared to hold down Raheem Sterling from securing a deal to Real Madrid as they aim to increase his wage, according to report.

Real Madrid is keeping a tab on Sterling who has developed to one of the best players in the World under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.

Sterling recently signed a deal that worth £300,000 a week with Manchester City but that has not prevented Real Madrid from making a move for the English forward.

Manchester City is willing to do more and increase his wage in a bid to prevent a move to Real Madrid who is monitoring his progress.
