Man City star Silva sends message to UEFA after UCL exit
Champions League By: Ikponmwosa Umweni | 11/04/2018
Manchester City forward Bernardo Silva has sent a message to UEFA to introduce VAR from next season following his side exit from Champions League in the hands of Liverpool on controversial circumstances. The 23-year-old Portugal international saw team-mate Leroy Sane have a goal wrongly ruled out for offside which would have left the match finely poised at 3-2 to Liverpool on aggregate despite the final touch before he struck home coming off the Reds player James Milner.
Next up for Manchester City is a trip to Wembley to battle Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Thank you all for the support and amazing atmosphere tonight! We gave everything we could so no regrets. Next year we’ll be back to try again! Congratulations to @liverpoolfc and good luck on the semi finals. Now let’s go win the premier league and end the season with a title @mancity 🔵🔵 Ps: @championsleague could you guys start using the VAR next season? It might be useful 🤔 #mancity #mcfc #ucl #team
