Manchester City playmaker David Silva has thanked the public for their support during the difficult time following the extremely premature birth of his son Mateo.
Silva was left out of City's recent fixtures due to the personal problem but returned in their 3-1 win over Watford on Tuesday night.
Silva who is now back and ready to play his part for the Cityzens
discussed his son's birth via a short statement on social media.
"I want to thank all of you for the good wishes and love I've received in the last few weeks.
"A special thanks must go to my teammates, my manager and all at the club for understanding my situation.
"Also, I want to share with you the birth of my son Mateo, who was born extremely prematurely and is fighting day by day with the help of the medical team."
