Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has criticised Manchester United players for celebrating Juan Mata's opener in Tuesday's EFL Cup semi-final first-leg victory against struggling Hull City.

The former Chelsea man wheeled away in front of the Stretford End with rest of the squad partaking in a lengthy celebration which Mourinho wasn't happy about after the game.
"We needed to play," he told Sky Sports. "In cup ties every goal can be crucial so why celebrate when you have half an hour to play?
"I don't think we should, there is no reason to celebrate the first goal."
Mourinho who will now shift focus to the league fixture against Liverpool Mourinho moves a step closer to a major trophy in his first season as Manchester United manager with the 2-0 victory against The Tigers.
