Manchester United reportedly want to replace Jose Mourinho with former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane.

The 46-year-old French legend quit Los Blancos at the end of last season having guided the La Liga giants to three consecutive Champions League titles.

Mourinho, meanwhile, is under severe pressure after a disastrous pre-season has seen him suffer a complete meltdown and there are concerns that this is the beginning of the end for the Portuguese.

According to The Sun reporting that the club officials are in no doubt that Zidane would be top of the list of new managers if Mourinho did leave Old Trafford as ex-Chelsea and Inter Milan coach has criticized Manchester United’s transfer chiefs for failing to sign the five players he requested at the start of the summer.

Certain players in United’s camp believe this will be his last campaign in charge of the Red Devils and a new face may well be in charge next year

Mourinho could now be forced to start the Premier League season against Leicester next Friday without some of his top players, who are still on holiday after Russia.
