MAN UTD 0-2 PSG: Pogba sees red in Red Devil defeat

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Paris Saint- Germain at Old Trafford in the Champions League as Paul Pogba sees red in a late dramatic show.

Manchester United looked solid in the defence as Paris Saint-Germain attacked from the opening minute, the Red Devils began to get into the game.

The away team maintained a lot of possession in the opening 13 minutes but Man Utd handled the pressure so well.

Marcus Rashford solo run in the 15th minute almost resulted to a goal but Gianluigi Buffon was alert to save the attempt from the young forward.

Manchester United attempted a shot from a long range but his effort went over the bar as PSG were defence were caught open. Kylian Mbappe almost got the opening goal but his effort went wide.

Ashley Young fouled Mbappe as he stopped PSG attacking move and the referee never hesitated to flash him a yellow card.

PSG had a nice combination but they were unable to find the back of the net, Manchester United match the French Champions in all the departments, the game witness more physical contact than they allow the w flow of the game.

Manchester United was not creative enough to hurt the defence of the away team.

Dani Alves' free-kick went inches wide in the stoppage time of the first half. The game ended a stalemate in the first half.

Juan Mata was thrown in for Anthony Martial at the start of the second half as the French man feels some discomfort in the leg at the end of the first half.

Mbappe nutmeg Victor Lindelof but the Manchester United defender fouled him to prevent his move for causing damage.

De Gea saved a header from Mbappe but the resulted corner kick lead to a goal as Presnel Kimpembe jabbed the ball into the net past helpless De Gea in the 53rd minute.

Dani Alves long-range shot was deflected by Manchester United defence and in the 61st minute, PSG got the second goal following a brilliant tapping from the away team as Di Maria released a pass to Mbappe to put it past De Gea.

Manchester United took charge after conceding the second goal but PSG remained defensively solid to avoid to deny Man Utd any hope to get a goal.

With 10 minutes Collin Dagba was brought in to replace Di Maria and in the 83rd minute, Romelu Lukaku was brought in for Rashford.

Pogba was shown the second yellow card and a red card in the stoppage time for a harsh challenge on a PSG player.
