Man Utd set to break the bank to keep De Gea at Old Trafford

Manchester United is willing to break the bank in a bid to ensure David De Gea remain at Old Trafford as they are willing to pay £400,000-a-week for his services.

De Gea current contract expires at the end of the next season and he has been a subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain. his heroic performance against Tottenham in their last game was one of his best performances this season.

The report in the Sun says Manchester United is ready to make De Gea, 28, the world highest paid goalkeeper and the club is ready to pay him £400,000 a week including bonuses.

De Gea wants to be sure that the team is willing to compete for trophies before he sanctions the deal. But so far he has been impressed with the work of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has six wins in six games as interim boss.
