Manchester United is prepared to pay a sum of £90m to sign one of the Premier League best defender before the end of the summer transfer.

Manchester United has made Leicester City defender Harry Maguire their top target and they are also ready to make the defender their third highest paid player if he agrees to join the Red Devils, according to report in Daily Star.

Maguire will be paid a salary of £250,000 per week which means only Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez will pocket more than him at the club.

The wage Manchester United is offering is almost three times the amount he is collecting at Leicester City.

Leicester City rejected a £70m bid from Manchester United, the Foxes want £100m for one of their most valuable players, while that hands-off message has seen Manchester City drop out of the race but Manchester United remain very much interested in the services of the defender.
