Man Utd star extends his deal with a year at Old Trafford

Manchester United star Ashley Young has extended his deal at the Old Trafford with a year extension.

The former Aston Villa star was due to be a free agent at the end of the season but Manchester United offered him an extension considering the talented winger is now 33-year-old.

A statement on United's website read: "Manchester United is pleased to announce that Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

"The deal will keep our no.18 at Old Trafford until the end of the 2019/20 season.

"Ashley has scored 17 goals in 227 appearances for the Reds to date, following his arrival from Aston Villa in the summer of 2011.

"During his time at the club so far, the 33-year-old has won five trophies – the Community Shield in 2011/12, the Premier League in 2012/13, the Emirates FA Cup in 2015/16, and the League Cup and UEFA Europa League in 2016/17."
