Man Utd stars set to get pay cut after failing to make UCL

Manchester United stars are prepared to get pay-cut after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season, according to report.

The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town on Sunday at the John Smith Stadium, which dashed the hope of Manchester United competing in the Champions League next season.

Manchester United stars will take 25 per cent pay cut for missing out on the European prestigious club tournament, according to the report in The Sun, Manchester United has clauses in their player's contracts which protects the club from a drop in revenue that derives from missing out on Europe's premier competition.

Paul Pogba is set to lose £3.9m a year, while Alexis Sanchez will lose £6.5m a year, David De Gea will also be down £2.6m and Romelu Lukaku will miss out on £3.25m.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a major clear-out of his squad this summer and some of the players who stay will be receiving a loss in wages.
