Manchester United are set to raid Chelsea for Willian as they are prepared to make a £60million bid for the Brazilian this summer.

The Red Devils have been constantly linked with the Brazilian, who is with the Brazil squad at the World Cup, and they appear set to make an official offer for Willian, who was signed to the Blues by now United boss, Jose Mourinho.

Willian endured a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge last term even though he was vote the club’s Player of the Year last month and could be keen on a reunion with Mourinho.

But it remains to be seen if Chelsea would sanction the move to a rival, after selling Nemanja Matic to the Red Devils last summer and having failed to finish in the top four last season, the Blues will look towards rebuilding.

When asked about compatriot Fred's move to Old Trafford earlier this month, Willian described United as 'one of the best teams in the world'.

“Of course (Fred can make an impact), no doubt about that. He has a lot of qualities,” Willian said during a press conference before flying to Russia.

“He can improve (them) a lot. He goes to one of the best teams in the world. I am happy for him. I hope he does well at Manchester United.

“He is very happy to come to the Premier League to play. We talked a little bit about that.”
