Manchester United has raised their asking price for De Gea price in a bid to fend off Real Madrid interest and according to Sport the Old Trafford outfit has priced the Spanish goalkeeper at £115million.

The Old Trafford No1 almost joined his boyhood club two summers ago but a dodgy fax machine allegedly scuppered the deal and he has given excellent service since.

De Gea is keen to return to Madrid this time with Real Madrid and it seems the transfer is inevitable and Sport claims that United have now stated their asking price for the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper.

Real Madrid president is refusing to give up on the 27-year-old and he is in no rush to get the deal done.

De Gea is ready to demand at least £375,000-a-week to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

His current £210,000-a-week contract runs out at the end of next season, with the option of a further one-year extension, If Manchester United refuse to meet his request Real Madrid can capitalize on this and offer him an escape route to Santiago Bernabeu.
