Argentina legend Deigo Maradona has blasted FIFA over 2026 World Cup announcement.

The 2026 tournament will be the first time three-nation will hosting the Mundial with a bid from Canada, Mexico, and the USA was met with mixed reactions.

Maradona says that FIFA's decision to award the tournament's organization to the three North American countries since he believes that there will not be any emotion involved in that competition.

"I don't like it, not a little bit. There's no passion," Maradona stated.

He aimed a dig at Canada and the U.S. due to their supposed lack of footballing history.

"Canadian people are good at skiing, and the Americans tried to make us play 100 minutes per game in order to introduce more publicity in football. 100 minutes," the retired footballer added.

Then, "El Pelusa" made fun of Mexico's World Cup performances.

"Mexico will be in the winning end of this deal, and they don't deserve it. Usually, Mexico wins a couple of games and then they get to face Brazil or Germany. Boom! They're out. Get them their airline tickets and that's it," Maradona added.

Maradona's words shouldn't surprise anyone, especially due after being expelled from the 1994 World Cup due to his problems with cocaine in America
