Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is bothered by Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar as he sees both players as a threat this year, according to report.

Messi is one of the great player this era but a close competition from Real Madrid forward Ronaldo as seen him dropped from the limelight in the past two seasons which sees the Portuguese attacker equal his Balon d Or record of five times.

Messi and Ronaldo have battled for the Ballon d'Or for the past nine seasons and no other players have come close and both of them are still favourite for this year Ballon d' Or following their exploits at club level this season.

Messi is of the opinion that the summer World Cup will give him a chance to assert his supremacy over Ronaldo and Neymar, and according to Don Balon, Messi knows that a third consecutive Champions League for Ronaldo could equal his potential La Liga and Copa del Rey win with Barcelona, but winning the World Cup with Argentina would set him above his perennial rival.

The Argentine forward believes that Argentina have a chance to succeed in Russia and so also Ronaldo is also nursing the hope of having a good outing with Portugal.

However, Messi is apparently concerned by Brazil's strength going into the World Cup.

Should the South Americans seal their sixth triumph on that stage, Neymar will be in the reckoning for the Ballon d'Or, as Messi senses danger from both Ronaldo and Neymar.

The Brazilian forward is currently injured and will be out against Real Madrid in the second leg clash of the Champions League at Parc des Princess and he is more focused on the World Cup as he wants to win the trophy for Brazil for a record of sixth time.
