Mixed reactions by Nigerians have trailed a media reports linking Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi with a summer move to Liverpool.

A report on Tuesday, credited to Nigerian news outlet The New Telegraph had it that the Reds were preparing a mega summer offer for the tough-tackling midfielder following a string of promising performances for the dethroned Premier League Champions Leicester City since his arrival from Genk last year.

While some fans are against the former Genk man who would be replacing outgoing Emre Can whose contract at Anfield expires in the summer, others believe Ndidi has developed to a level where he deserves nothing less than playing at the top with a top club - an opportunity Liverpool would offer him.
