Luka Modric and goalkeeper Keylor Navas have reacted to the 1-0 defeat in the Champions League againstCSKA Moscow on Tuesday evening at the VEB Arena Stadium in Russia.
Real Madrid dominated the game in terms of ball possession but they were unable to convert their chances with Casemiro hitting the woodwork before he was substitute
and also Mariano Diaz who started from the bench also was denied by the post.
Modric admits there was a lot of anger in the dressing room after the clash, “We are annoyed, we did not expect to drop points here and the atmosphere in the changing room is understandably not the best now. We need to get back on our feet, in the last few games, Sevilla and tonight specifically, we were not at the right level. Against Atlético in the second half, we were better. When you can't score it really is worrying, but we will fix it and get out of this situation.
“We have to pick ourselves up, be united and positive. We need to work to improve and win the next game. The boss said I needed a rest because I played three or four in a row, but in the end, I had to come on because football does not always go to plan. I tried to help the team.
We created some great chances, but the ball would not go in, we will get better."
Navas has also urged the fans to keep the faith in the team.
"The true Madridista will always be behind us. They'll be down because we've lost the game, but I know that they'll support us because they've shown their affection and support during the tough times and that's helped to keep us going."
