Mourinho blasts Man Utd players for 'Playstation football'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has slammed his players for being more interested in 'tricks and PlayStation football' than killing off Basle during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League.

Mourinho's men marked their return to the competition with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku but Mourinho was left angry at a lack of professionalism before Marcus Rashford's third.

"After 2-0 I think everything changed and we stopped to play, stopped to think, stopped to play seriously. We stopped to make the right decisions on the pitch and we could put ourselves in trouble.

"Bad decisions, fantasy football, PlayStation football, tricks and when you stopped to play as a team and when you stopped to play seriously I don't like and you gamble a little bit.

"The players probably felt that the game was under control with the 2-0 but football is football and you have to respect your opponent."

Manchester United are now unbeaten in 32 successive home games in all competitions (W21 D11 L0) and have not lost at Old Trafford for a year, since 10 September 2016. This is their best unbeaten home run since October 2011 (37 games).
