Mourinho warn two Man United stars about their places

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has informed both Phil Jones and Eric Baily with the duo who have started all Red Devil games so far this season they are not guaranteed themselves automatic starters, despite their manager’s refused to select Victor Lindelof so far this season.

The 23-year-old who moved to Old Trafford from Portuguese Champions Benfica in a £30million deal in the summer, having nearly signing for Manchester United back in January 2016.

The Swedish defender Lindelof who have a difficult spell so far this season after having been criticised in a pre-season encounter with Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Los Blancos.

Mourinho who will be without Jones and Bailly who are both suspended for the start of Manchester United’s Champions League campaign against Basel with Lindelof set to start against the Swiss champions.

The Portuguese coach has warned the pair not to take their places for granted after they were both at fault for the Cameroonian striker Eric Choupo- Moting goals for Stoke in the  2-2 draw Bet 365 Stadium.

‘Victor is a very good player with very good potential,’ Mourinho said ahead of United’s return to Europe’s elite club competition.

‘And honestly, I think there are reasons for the other boys, Eric and Jones, to be worried.’
