According to Corriere dello
Sport, Giallorossi has now made a breakthrough for the 26-year-old playmaker having previously seen two bids rejected for his signature.
New coach Eusebio Di Francesco has money to spend after the Italian giants generated over £80m through the sales of Antonio Rudiger, Leandro Paredes and Mohamed Salah and it appears that Luciano Spalletti's replacement is willing to spend in excess of £32m to sign Mahrez.
During his time in King Power Stadium Mahrez has helped Leicester win the Premier League title, an achievement which led to a run to the Champions League quarter-finals during the last campaign.
Mahrez who has played a full role in pre-season has contributed 35 goals in 138 appearances for Leicester in all competitions.
